I only leave a negative review when I am absolutely disappointed, and unfortunately, today’s experience is one of those unforgettable ones. I chose Jordan Wal after seeing her post in the Plain City group because I was hoping to find someone closer to home instead of driving an hour to my regular hairdresser. This was, without question, one of the worst hair experiences I have had in a very very long time. I came in with hair well below my chest and asked for a simple trim of about 3 inches. I left with hair just slightly below my shoulders. That is a drastic and irreversible loss of length. I chose not to have my hair washed because I am very sensitive to fragrance, but I clearly said my hair could absolutely be made wet if needed to ensure a proper, even cut. That was not done. My hair is naturally wavy, and it was cut completely dry, without proper preparation, sectioning, or proper technique. Instead of a controlled, precise cut, I watched as more and more length was taken off in an attempt to fix unevenness that kept getting worse. I had to ask her to straighten my hair because I could already see the cut was going wrong. Even after straightening, it was still uneven—one side longer than the other, with inconsistent lengths throughout. At that point, I chose to leave before more hair was taken off. What should have been a very basic trim turned into a complete loss of length and a haircut that now needs professional correction. I now have to drive an hour to my trusted stylist to fix what I paid for. Based on this experience, the level of technique and execution did not reflect professional standards, especially for working with wavy hair. I can close my eyes on a lot of things—but not on my hair. I cannot recommend this service to anyone who values precision, proper technique, and keeping their length. I do have photos documenting the result if anyone questions this.
